Ezra Lee

       I began painting on a whim during a date with my now-wife, and it quickly grew from hobby to passion. As a self-taught artist, I embraced the palette knife and a heavy-texture impasto style—using acrylics and mixed media to create depth, movement, and interpretation.

       I’m drawn to scenes that spark curiosity or invite the viewer in—whether rural farm life from my Missouri roots, fishermen at rest, or moments of stillness and motion. Through vibrant colors, I aim to create images that make people pause and reflect. At the heart of my work is a desire to explore the human condition: elevating ordinary moments—whether joyful, difficult, or contemplative—into something worth magnifying and sharing.
